If your relatives become permanent residents of Canada, they will be able to live, study, and work in the country. You can sponsor specific relatives to come to Canada if you are over the age of 18 and a:

Sponsor your spouse, partner or child:
You can sponsor your husband, partner, or dependent child if you meet the following criteria:
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You are a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been registered as an Indian in Canada under the Canadian Indian Act.
  • If you are a Canadian citizen living outside of Canada, you must demonstrate that you intend to return to Canada once the people you want to sponsor become permanent residents.
  • If you are a permanent resident living outside of Canada, you cannot sponsor someone
  • If you can demonstrate that you are not receiving social assistance for reasons other than disability, you can provide for the basic requirements of any individuals you wish to sponsor.

    Financial requirement .
Most of the time, there is no income criterion to sponsor your husband, partner, or dependent kid. You only need to demonstrate that you have enough money to meet the income requirements if and only if:

You're supporting a dependent child who has one or more dependent children, or you're sponsoring a spouse or partner who has a dependent child and their dependent child has one or more children.
