Intra Company Transfer
The International Mobility Program of Canada describes rules that make it easier for high-skilled foreign individuals to work in Canada as intra-company transferees for a limited time. Candidates who transmit their skills to Canadian enterprises and deliver considerable economic value to Canada are exempt from acquiring a positive LMIA.
Family Sponsorship
If your relatives become permanent residents of Canada, they will be able to live, study, and work in the country. You can sponsor specific relatives to come to Canada if you are over the age of 18 and a:
- Canadian citizen,
- Indian registered in Canada under the Indian Act,
- permanent resident of Canada
Study
The study permit is a document that we issue to foreign citizens that authorizes them to study at designated learning institutions (DLIs) in Canada. To study in Canada, most foreign nationals require a study permit. Before you apply, make sure you have all of the necessary paperwork. You must apply before travelling to Canada.
Your study permit does not serve as a visa. It prevents you from entering Canada.
Visit
A Visitor Visa (sometimes known as a temporary residence visa) is a legal document that we place in your passport. It demonstrates that you meet the standards for entry into Canada.
Most visitors to Canada require a visiting visa. You may also require one if you are passing through a Canadian airport on route to your final destination.
Work
Bridging open work permit for permanent residents
A bridging open work permit (BOWP) allows you to continue working while you await the outcome of your permanent residency application.
